THE CHAMBORD VEGETABLE GARDENS
After a successful first phase of the project, with the creation in 2019 of a 5,000 m2 plot within the Maréchal de Saxe stables, the vegetable gardens are investing in a new five-hectare plot to expand and diversify production.
One of the objectives of the vegetable gardens is to promote the circuit-cour. The first beneficiaries of the production are the visitors, who can enjoy the products thanks to the different catering points present on the Domaine de Chambord (55% of the production is dedicated to them).
The fruit and vegetable production also benefits local food banks, thanks to exchanges with the Secours Populaire Français and schools. The stables of the Maréchal de Saxe also house a store open to the public dedicated to vegetables, tools, agricultural works, seeds...
