General terms and conditions of sale

The present terms and conditions of sale apply by right and without restriction to all orders placed on the online store of the public establishment of industrial and commercial nature of the National Estate of Chambord whose head office is Château de Chambord 41250 Chambord. They are subject to change without notice. The purchase of products on the online store of the Domaine national de Chambord by the customer implies his or her unreserved acceptance of these terms and conditions of sale.

These terms and conditions apply to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions of sale, in particular those in force for sales on site or through partner sales networks.

The customer declares that he/she has the capacity to enter into this contract, i.e. that he/she is of legal majority and is not under guardianship or curatorship.

All the data provided and the recorded confirmation will serve as proof of the transaction. The confirmation will be worth signature and acceptance of the operations carried out.

Once the contract has been concluded in accordance with the order procedure described, the Domaine National de Chambord will send the Customer by e-mail a receipt of his/her order summarising the information contained in the registered order form. By keeping this e-mail and/or printing it, the customer will have proof of the order which the Domaine national de Chambord recommends that he or she keep. However, this e-mail only confirms that the customer's order has been taken into account by the Domaine national de Chambord and not that the item(s) ordered are available.

In the event that the item(s) ordered presented on the Domaine national de Chambord online store are no longer available or on sale at the time the customer sends the order form, the customer may terminate the contract by LRAR or in writing on another durable medium if, after having instructed Domaine national de Chambord to make delivery within a reasonable additional period of time in accordance with the same terms and conditions, the delivery has not been made within that period.

The sale prices of the articles are expressed, for all countries, in euros all taxes included (T.T.C.) except delivery costs. The possible delivery costs are the responsibility of the customer and are invoiced in addition to the sale price of the articles.

The prices of the articles can change at any time. The selling price used for the purchase of each item corresponds to the price observed on the online store at the time of registration of the order, except for typographical errors.

Any change in the rate of value added tax (VAT) will be immediately reflected in the selling price of the items.

All purchases made on the online store are payable at the time of order. The method of payment accepted for the settlement of the purchase(s) made on the online store is the credit card.

When you purchase on the Domaine National de Chambord's online store, the entire payment phase is carried out between you and "PAYZEN". During the credit card payment phase, you will temporarily leave the site to go to the "PAYZEN" site.

It is the guarantee that :

The Domaine National de Chambord will never know your card number.

In just a few seconds you will know whether your payment has been accepted or refused and you can then continue your navigation. There are no additional charges for paying for your purchases. For your security, all data exchanged is encrypted during transactions.

The choice of carrier is made by the Domaine National de Chambord at the time the order is processed. We reserve the right to group several orders placed at short intervals, having the same delivery address. The cost of returning defective or non-compliant items will then be borne by the Domaine national de Chambord.

However, the Domaine national de Chambord will be exonerated from all or part of its responsibility by providing proof that the non-performance of the contract is attributable either to the consumer, or to the unforeseeable and insurmountable fact of a third party to the contract, or to a case of force majeure.

The Domaine National de Chambord cannot be held liable for any failure to meet its contractual obligations in the event of force majeure and fortuitous events such as natural disasters, fires, internal or external failures or breakdowns, and in general any external, unforeseeable and irresistible event that prevents the proper execution of orders.

Any order placed and delivered outside of France may be subject to possible taxes and customs duties that are imposed when the package reaches its destination. These customs duties and possible taxes related to the delivery of an item are at your expense and are your responsibility. We are not obliged to check and inform you of the applicable customs duties and taxes. To know them, we advise you to inquire with the competent authorities of your country.

The Customer benefits from a withdrawal period of fifteen (15) days from the delivery of the order made. During this period, the Customer may return, at his own expense and without any other penalties, the item(s) not suitable for him.

Such a return will only be accepted by the Domaine National de Chambord if :

In order to exercise the right of withdrawal, the Customer must notify the Domaine national de Chambord of his decision to withdraw from this contract by means of an unambiguous statement (e.g. letter sent by post, fax or e-mail). The Customer may use the model withdrawal form, which is not mandatory. In order for the cancellation period to be observed, it is sufficient for the customer to submit his communication regarding the exercise of the right of cancellation before the expiry of the cancellation period.

The returned item(s) must not have been used, modified, washed or damaged;

The returned item(s) are still in their original packaging;

Returned items are sent in a single consignment. The Domaine national de Chambord reserves the right not to accept items from the same order that have been returned and sent at different times.

If this right of retraction is exercised under the conditions defined above, Domaine national de Chambord will take the necessary steps to reimburse any sums already received in return for the purchase of the items.

Any sums already paid will be refunded as soon as possible and in any case within fourteen (14) working days following the date on which the Domaine national de Chambord becomes aware of the Customer's exercise of the right of withdrawal, regardless of the method of payment used.

In the event that the conditions for exercising the right of withdrawal described above have not been respected, the customer may reobtain at his own expense the items returned to the Domaine national de Chambord in the same condition as when they were returned to the Domaine national de Chambord.
