General terms and conditions of sale

The present terms and conditions of sale apply by right and without restriction to all orders placed on the online store of the public establishment of industrial and commercial nature of the National Estate of Chambord whose head office is Château de Chambord 41250 Chambord. They are subject to change without notice. The purchase of products on the online store of the Domaine national de Chambord by the customer implies his or her unreserved acceptance of these terms and conditions of sale.

These terms and conditions apply to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions of sale, in particular those in force for sales on site or through partner sales networks.

The customer declares that he/she has the capacity to enter into this contract, i.e. that he/she is of legal majority and is not under guardianship or curatorship.

ARTICLE 1 - CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PRODUCTS FOR SALE

We strive to present the most current and accurate information possible on our online store. The information provided may sometimes contain incomplete data, errors, or inaccuracies. All errors are unintentional. We apologize for any possible incorrect information such as prices or availability of items that may occur on our site.

Any discrepancies or errors that may occur will in no way engage the responsibility of the Domaine national de Chambord and give rise to a claim on the part of the customer. The photographs and descriptions of the articles are as accurate as possible, but cannot guarantee a perfect similarity with the articles presented, particularly in terms of colors. Due to variations in screen displays, we cannot guarantee an accurate display of colors.

When an article presented is no longer in stock, it is deactivated from the site. Most of the products of the Domaine national de Chambord displayed on our site are all available, but may sometimes be unavailable before we have had time to remove them.

We endeavour to respond promptly to your email messages, however we are under no obligation to respond to all emails received through this site. We do not wish to receive confidential or private information via this site or any e-mail link. Please note that all your comments, ideas and suggestions that are communicated to us through our online store will become and remain the property of Domaine national de Chambord.

We reserve the right to change errors or update information at any time without notice.

ARTICLE 2 - HOW TO PLACE AN ORDER

The confirmation of the order implies the acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, including the Privacy Policy, the acknowledgement of having perfect knowledge of them and the waiver of any other conditions.

All the data provided and the recorded confirmation will serve as proof of the transaction. The confirmation will be worth signature and acceptance of the operations carried out.

ARTICLE 3 - CONFIRMATION OF THE ORDER

Once the contract has been concluded in accordance with the order procedure described, the Domaine National de Chambord will send the Customer by e-mail a receipt of his/her order summarising the information contained in the registered order form. By keeping this e-mail and/or printing it, the customer will have proof of the order which the Domaine national de Chambord recommends that he or she keep. However, this e-mail only confirms that the customer's order has been taken into account by the Domaine national de Chambord and not that the item(s) ordered are available.

In the event that the item(s) ordered presented on the Domaine national de Chambord online store are no longer available or on sale at the time the customer sends the order form, the customer may terminate the contract by LRAR or in writing on another durable medium if, after having instructed Domaine national de Chambord to make delivery within a reasonable additional period of time in accordance with the same terms and conditions, the delivery has not been made within that period.

ARTICLE 4 - SALE PRICE

The sale prices of the articles are expressed, for all countries, in euros all taxes included (T.T.C.) except delivery costs. The possible delivery costs are the responsibility of the customer and are invoiced in addition to the sale price of the articles.

The prices of the articles can change at any time. The selling price used for the purchase of each item corresponds to the price observed on the online store at the time of registration of the order, except for typographical errors.

Any change in the rate of value added tax (VAT) will be immediately reflected in the selling price of the items.

ARTICLE 5 - METHODS OF PAYMENT AND INVOICING

All purchases made on the online store are payable at the time of order. The method of payment accepted for the settlement of the purchase(s) made on the online store is the credit card.

ARTICLE 6 - SECURITY OF TRANSACTIONS

When you purchase on the Domaine National de Chambord's online store, the entire payment phase is carried out between you and "PAYZEN". During the credit card payment phase, you will temporarily leave the site to go to the "PAYZEN" site.

ARTICLE 7 - TERMS OF DELIVERY

The choice of carrier is made by the Domaine National de Chambord at the time the order is processed. We reserve the right to group several orders placed at short intervals, having the same delivery address. The cost of returning defective or non-compliant items will then be borne by the Domaine national de Chambord.

However, the Domaine national de Chambord will be exonerated from all or part of its responsibility by providing proof that the non-performance of the contract is attributable either to the consumer, or to the unforeseeable and insurmountable fact of a third party to the contract, or to a case of force majeure.

ARTICLE 8 - FORCE MAJEURE

The Domaine National de Chambord cannot be held liable for any failure to meet its contractual obligations in the event of force majeure and fortuitous events such as natural disasters, fires, internal or external failures or breakdowns, and in general any external, unforeseeable and irresistible event that prevents the proper execution of orders.

ARTICLE 9 - CUSTOMS DUTIES

Any order placed and delivered outside of France may be subject to possible taxes and customs duties that are imposed when the package reaches its destination. These customs duties and possible taxes related to the delivery of an item are at your expense and are your responsibility. We are not obliged to check and inform you of the applicable customs duties and taxes. To know them, we advise you to inquire with the competent authorities of your country.

ARTICLE 10 - RIGHT OF RETRACTION

The Customer benefits from a withdrawal period of fifteen (15) days from the delivery of the order made. During this period, the Customer may return, at his own expense and without any other penalties, the item(s) not suitable for him.

Such a return will only be accepted by the Domaine National de Chambord if :

In order to exercise the right of withdrawal, the Customer must notify the Domaine national de Chambord of his decision to withdraw from this contract by means of an unambiguous statement (e.g. letter sent by post, fax or e-mail). The Customer may use the model withdrawal form, which is not mandatory. In order for the cancellation period to be observed, it is sufficient for the customer to submit his communication regarding the exercise of the right of cancellation before the expiry of the cancellation period.

The returned item(s) must not have been used, modified, washed or damaged;

The returned item(s) are still in their original packaging;

Returned items are sent in a single consignment. The Domaine national de Chambord reserves the right not to accept items from the same order that have been returned and sent at different times.

If this right of retraction is exercised under the conditions defined above, Domaine national de Chambord will take the necessary steps to reimburse any sums already received in return for the purchase of the items.

Any sums already paid will be refunded as soon as possible and in any case within fourteen (14) working days following the date on which the Domaine national de Chambord becomes aware of the Customer's exercise of the right of withdrawal, regardless of the method of payment used.

In the event that the conditions for exercising the right of withdrawal described above have not been respected, the customer may reobtain at his own expense the items returned to the Domaine national de Chambord in the same condition as when they were returned to the Domaine national de Chambord.

ARTICLE 11 - PRODUCT GUARANTEE

The products on sale on the online store benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity under the conditions provided for in articles L. 217-4 to L. 217-13 of the Consumer Code as well as the guarantee against hidden defects as defined in articles 1641 to 1649 of the Civil Code.

 In the event of non-compliant or defective product(s), customers may return them under the conditions provided for in Article 6, subject to prior contact with Customer Service by calling 02 54 50 40 00.

Upon receipt of the returned products, the Domaine National de Chambord will send the customer replacement products provided they are available. If necessary, Le Domaine national de Chambord will refund the customer in full.

ARTICLE 12 - PRIVACY POLICY

In accordance with the Law on Data Processing, Data Files and Individual Liberties of January 6, 1978, information of a personal nature relating to customers may be subject to automated processing.

The user is informed that, during his visits to the site, a cookie may be automatically installed on his browser software.

The cookie is a block of data that does not identify the user but is used to record information relating to the user's navigation on the site.

The present conditions of online sale are subject to French law. In the event of a dispute, only the courts of the national domain of Chambord are competent.

In the event of difficulties in the interpretation or application of these conditions, the parties will try as far as possible to settle their dispute amicably. All disputes arising in connection with these terms and conditions of sale must be brought, even in the event of a plurality of defendants or a guarantee call, before the competent court of the registered office of the National Estate of Chambord.
