Domain note
With this exceptional exhibition, Chambord invites you to explore the art and history surrounding Sandro Botticelli's Madonna and Child with Young St. John the Baptist. This work, on loan from the Uffizi Galleries in Florence, is mirrored by a representation some 15 years its junior. Originally exhibited in the church of Saint-Félix in Champigny-en-Beauce, it was long thought to be a 19th-century copy, but is now recognized as an original work from Botticelli's workshop. They are on display in the chapel of the château de Chambord from October 20, 2024 to January 19, 2025. Discover the secrets that unite these major symbols of the Renaissance.
