Organic tomato soup from the vegetable gardens of Chambord

THE VEGETABLE GARDENS OF CHAMBORD After a successful first phase of the project with the creation of a plot within the Maréchal de Saxe stables (5,000 m²) in 2019, the vegetable gardens are investing in a new five-hectare plot to expand and diversify production. The Chambord Vegetable Gardens are implemented in an entrepreneurial spirit. They are part of a process of exploiting the riches of the estate. Chambord is developing its natural resources in order to diversify its resources. As part of this permaculture approach, more than forty varieties of vegetables are produced, following a cultivation system that allows for increased yields on small surfaces and with a minimum of mechanization. This profitability is made possible by a well thought-out, ergonomic and standardized landscape architecture, combined with low-tech tools and good soil fertility management. The care given to each dimension of the vegetable and fruit production gives the vegetables exceptional flavors, nutrients, colors and textures. The vegetable gardens received the organic certification and the AB label on July 4, 2019. Discover also our vegetable garden trainings.
