LES JARDINS A LA FRANCAISE
En 2017, Chambord s’est transformé de façon spectaculaire : le château à retrouver ses jardins à la française. Imaginés sous Louis XIV, avec un dessin réalisé en 1734, ces jardins ont existé pendant plus de deux siècles avant de disparaître progressivement dans l’entre-deux guerres. Ils occupent six hectares et demi au pied de la façade nord du château. Cela fait plus de 20 ans que la France n’avait pas connu un projet de restitution de jardins d’une telle ampleur, avec plus de 600 arbres, 800 arbustes, 200 rosiers, 15 250 plantes délimitant les bordures, ou encore 18 874 m² de pelouses.
