The Gien Faience Factory combines excellence and creativity to present, on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the castle, a "Chambord" collection inspired by photographs of the artist Georges Carillo. Founded 200 years ago, the Gien Faience Factory symbolizes refinement, luxury and the French art of living. All stages of production are carried out in the Manufacture de Gien, according to a two hundred year old know-how. This quest for excellence combined with creativity has earned the Faïencerie de Gien the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label. As for Georges Carillo, a lifelong photographer, he came to Chambord for an artistic residency to observe the many inhabitants of the Chambord forest. The particularity of Georges Carillo's work lies in the choice of black and white in his photographs. A graphic simplicity that leaves no room for the superfluous and brings the viewer directly to the heart of the emotion.
