Where does the BIC® 4 color pen come from?
Marcel Bich launched his first four-color pen in the early 1970s. His system, which allowed the user to change colors without changing pens, revolutionized the world of stationery.

Why is there a ball at the end of BIC® 4-color pens?
When the 4-color pen was first created, a small white ball was placed at the end to facilitate dialing on rotary dial landline telephones. Today, these telephones have disappeared, but this unique feature of the pen remains!
